The MAC Culture and Tourism

The MAC Culture & Tourism originated from Executive Chairman, Kevin Maloney’s idea to embrace the educational value of Australia’s rich history and landscape in areas which The MAC has a presence. 

In the historic town of Nebo, located in the Bowen Basin QLD, The MAC has created a photographic gallery and storytelling murals to preserve and share this history for generations to come.

Nebo and the surrounding district offer a unique experience of an Australian outback of vast blue skies, hardy explorers, ancient trees and sweeping plains where the past meets the present, right in the heart of one of Australia’s major coal mining regions.

The MAC Nebo’s murals extend over 210 metres, depicting significant historical Australian events, and the people of our landscape.
